Council of Africa concludes the Pan-African Youth Summit (PAYS), 2018
The Pan-African Youth Summit (PAYS) 2018, organized under the theme "Rethinking Youth Participation in Africa" was successfully held from January 14 - 15, 2018 at the Sarem Hotel in Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa. The event drew participation of leading academics, corporate executives, and government officials from 14 African countries, and coincided with the AU Heads of State and Government Summit. 

The Summit provided a strategic platform for youth-centered leaders to brainstorm on the proposed African Continental Free Trade Area, and make targeted recommendations for the continent to consider so that the young people are women play leading roles in the domestication and implementation of AfCFTA for the greater benefit to the continent's largest demographics.

Closing the event, Mme Thiam, a senior government official from Senegal reiterated her government's commitments to advancing African trade and development, and thanked Job Collins, CEO of Council of Africa, for leading this unprecedented efforts.
